Naval Dockyard Limited (NDL), a leading naval ship repair and construction facility, invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Draughtsman in its design office.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and update technical drawings for ship repair, maintenance, and modification.
Produce basic structural, piping, and layout drawings for a ship.
Convert sketches into accurate CAD drawings.
Update existing drawings to reflect modifications and design changes.
Support engineers with design and drafting requirements.
Qualifications
Minimum of five (5) credits in O'Level results in Mathematics, English, and 3 relevant science subjects.
National Diploma certificate in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, or related field is an added advantage.
Note: HND and BSc will not be considered.
Experience
At least 1 year of practical experience in drafting or ship design drawings.
Experience in shipyards, workshops, or engineering environments is an advantage.
Required Skills
Basic proficiency in AutoCAD or similar drafting software.
Computer application skills.
Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
Willingness to learn and adapt in a technical environment.
Minimum of five (5) O'Level credits including Mathematics and English.
At least 1 year experience in drafting or ship design drawings.
